Someone can correct me if I'm way off on this, but I'm pretty sure that I've had VWD and C# 2008 installed on an XP Pro SP2 machine.

Greetings all -- I have been on microsoft reading the system requirements for VS 2008 and Iam taken to a page that lists a bunch of supported configurations, includingXP Professional. I had the impression that VS 2005 was for XP and 2008 required vista. Am I wrong? I want to get whatever is current. If I need a vista box, I'll get one, but I have XP pro on my current box and enough disk space to download the components. So at the risk of asking the obvious, for the people running 2008, can I runit on XP pro, or do I need vista? I am only asking because my impressions reading list mail and reading the data on the microsoft site diverge. Thanks in advance. If I can get out of paying for a new laptop right now it would be nice toget started on an xp pro compatible version of VS 2008, if that isn't an oxymoron. Thanks much in advance. --le __________ View the list's information and change your settings at //www.freelists.org/list/programmingblind
