You could use the free CSV file information from Yahoo.
That way you can download up to 100 tickers at a time and there are quite a few Data Points for each ticker.

I'd like to experimentn with writing programs that do analasys of stocck markets, bond markets, etc. The only site I've found so far for freely available finantial data is

But registration is currently closed. I'd like the data to be as close to real time as possible and don't want to resort to writing a screen scraper. Thanks for any info.
