Nod pause would do it if you had to run it not at the console but if it's
just an easy input output thing you run it at the cmd.exe prompt and it will
show everything even after exiting.

I have no idea what his problem is. sounds like he's having an issue of it 
closing, (the program he wrote), in which case system("pause") would fix 
that, though remove it before you hand in work.
I'm not quite sure why this requires an external g++ tool, though.
