yeah, that works too. system("pause") was my fix until I realized that.

Nod pause would do it if you had to run it not at the console but if it's
just an easy input output thing you run it at the cmd.exe prompt and it will
show everything even after exiting.

I have no idea what his problem is. sounds like he's having an issue of it
closing, (the program he wrote), in which case system("pause") would fix
that, though remove it before you hand in work.
I'm not quite sure why this requires an external g++ tool, though.

Can you not just open a cmd.exe and run it from inside the console? Or am

I
just miss understanding the problem?

Hi.
doing a c++ course.
using g++ and text pad 5 to write my programs.
using the run command.
for programs just written for one example.
uses the cin >> command.
but does not allow you to enter a program using the run command in text
pad.
is there another exe program.
tried using the     run command.
but just realized.
that if i run it from windows explorer.
the prompt does come up.
but have to run the program again in text pad to see the new results.
so is there an easier way to do this.
cheers Marvin.
