Hi Rick,
I think scripting can be done with UIA, which is implemented in all VS 2010 editions, but not with the VS DOM. Of course, with a commercial edition of VS, Window-Eyes scripting could use the DOM as well as UIA. Apparently, however, FS did not think that UIA provided sufficient info for accessibility, so used info from the DOM as well.

Hi Jamal: Are you telling me that vb.net Express can not be scripted for
Windoweyes since the DOM, UIA and MSAA, are not exposed?

The official word from Freedom Scientific is that VS Express Editions
are
not supported, though they may partially work. The FS scripts for VS
2010
make use of the VS object model, among other techniques for access, and
Express Editions do not expose that object model.
