Hi,

So how did you get speech feedback? Were you using a different screenreader?
I've heard that System Access works without being installed on the server.

Cheers, Lynn

I have the same configuration as Rodney; licensed Jaws on my local workstation
with the remote desktop option purchased. I have another copy of Jaws installed
on the remote machine but no license installed there. When I remote desktop to
the other machine, Jaws detects this and runs the remote copy under my current
license. Have done some limited work with Citrix but not with having Jaws
installed on the Citrix server.

I have a licensed version of JAWS installed on my desktop with remote desktop
enabled and authorized. I am not using Citrix, just Windows remote desktop.

The server has the same version of JAWS installed, however no JAWS license was
installed. It is not a demo version of JAWS. It is the normal full version,
just without a authorization # entered.

So, if I were at the server and started jaws, it would run in 40 minute mode.

However, if I remoted in from my desktop into the server, the the server
version would recognize my desktop auth/license and would run forever.

Works for me. :)

Subject: JAWS and remote desktop and citrix

Hello folks,
We're planning to use citrix and remote desktop with JAWS. I know it works
well. My question is somewhat related:
Do I need to have two licenses one installed on the host and another installed
on the machine running the citrix client?
I have searched the net and foumd that only the machine with citrix client
installed needs to have a license * with remote access enabled
* and the jaws in the server can be a demo copy. This seen to be the most up to
date oreientation, but now some people are saying that both copies of JAWS need
to be licensed.
Have you tried to use remote desktop or citrix .. and what is the truth on this
subject?
Marlon
