Command line client for SQL Server Compact Edition

Does anyone know whether there is a console mode, command line client for
creating and querying databases created with SQL Server Compact Edition
(SSEE)? I hoped that the sqlcmd.exe utility of SQL Server 2008 Express
would support the single file, .sdf format that SSEE uses, as well as the
formats used by other versions of SQL server. I have found no mention of
this, however, and have not found any other command line client for the
SSCE database format.
