Zip and 7zip are not the same.7zip uses the LZMA compression which in some cases is much better than the one of zip, rar, or gzip.
But I already found the solution. Octavian----- Original Message ----- From: "InthaneElf" <inthaneelf@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx>

not I, but there are zip and unzip libraries available in all versions of visual studios, so I believe you can find them in the windows API's, have a look.and both XP and Vista have the zip and unzip ability included in the OS so that should give you the ability to do your command line thing, in fact there probably already is command line use built in!HTH, inthane proprietor, The Grab Bag, for blind computer users and programmers http://grabbag.alacorncomputer.com Owner: Alacorn Computer Enterprises "own the might and majesty of a Alacorn!" www.alacorncomputer.com Owner: Agemtree "merchants in fine facetted and cabochon gemstones" www.agemtree.comoperator: Fruit Basket Demo Sight, where you can find a similar project done in several programming languages, along with its source code, so you can decide what language is right for youhttp://fruitbasketdemo.alacorncomputer.com----- Original Message ----- From: "Octavian Rasnita" <orasnita@xxxxxxxxx>To: <programmingblind@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Friday, October 10, 2008 4:57 AM Subject: 7zip Hi,Does anyone know a free 7zip unarchiver that can be used in command line, in order to be packaged in another app which should run under Windows? Thanks.
