I have a program I wrote in college as a project that will create a pcx file
out of a text file representation using spaces and splats (*) with that I am
betting we could make something rather easily.

The one problem is I just took a job with the American Printing House as a
Programmer and am moving to Kentucky so my Linux server is some where between
BC and there so if you either wrestle the truck to the side of the rode or wait
for me to get down there I can send you the C source of my little program.

  Hi,
Maybe this is a silly question, but does anyone know of a accessible
program for creating bitmaps, icons, cursors, and the like? I was thinking of
something that presented a grid, and told you which cell you were in, and
allowed you to pick what you wanted to set for that cell, and any other
properties that are necessary for the item being created. We would have to
visualize the picture in our heads.I often think that we could create a tactile
representation, and than translate it into a grid pattern.
