Various companies, the one where my official job title was software support manager, but my guys also handled networking, and PC maintenance inside the company, and then in my last job in sighted days, I was a web developer, but we also handled all our own hardware, servers, etc. etc.

I could give you the names of the companies, but wouldn't mean too much since they're both smallish, and somewhat local to South Africa.

Aside from that, I got my very first computer (commodore 64) back in 1983, and when we moved over to our very first XT PC a year or two later, me and my friends spent whole weekends doing all sorts of things on/with our computers.

Stay well

I also want to try playing around with this at some stage, partly because in sighted days, I think I had built around 350+ computers from scratch, but anyway...one day...<smile>

Dear All
Apologies if this falls outside the scope of the list.
I am considering building a PC, so i was wondering if any of you had experience of building a PC with no sight and, therefore, any advice for a newbe like me. i wonder, is there a list dedicated to the topic of internal PC hardware and general electronics for the blind?
many thanks in advance for your help.
Regards
John
