I'm trying it but the editor complains that there's unicode in the text I
pasted (no break line). I also tried deleting where the code starts and replace
it with working code, but when I navigate around it, it's all messed up and
only reads the first character.

Some years ago hackerrank were okayish to read the questions. The
editor was not accessible, but if you write it on your editor and
paste it there, it worked.
Also, the advent of code questions are easy to understand and you
paste only the final answer there.
