I just installed VS code on my Mac and now trying to get around and install
some c++ extensions, and saw something that may help.
The welcome section seems to take on part of the page and slow things down on
my mac. I closed it and things seem to respond better.
However, I'm trying to figure where the install button for the extensions are
haha

Hi all,
I’ve installed VSCode on my Mac and have installed the extensions for c++ and
c++/clang, but I’m having real trouble setting up a workspace for an existing
project. My main issue seems to be that VoiceOver and VSCode are telling me
different things at different times. For instance, if I try to add a folder
to a workspace, the tab order seems to be what I expect - a folder selection
dialog, but using the VoiceOver next/previous navigation keys moves through
some kind of web view. This makes it really tricky, as I can tab to the
Expand/Collapse control to show more details in the dialog, but I haven’t
found a way of activating that control as VoiceOver doesn’t see it as the
active control. I’ve got VoiceOver configured to track the cursor and
vice-versa, but no joy. If anybody knows a work-around, it’d be great, as
this kind of issue exists all over the UI. It looks like this could be a
workable environment for c++ development on the Mac, but there’s definitely
some hurdles.
