Hi Florian,

It was in early June.
I've just found that the release note for VS 2017 V15.3 in August mention about
numerous accessibility improvements, it is probable that the fixes you
mentioned were released in this version, now updating my install.
Thanks for reporting this anyway.

Regards,
Yusuf.

I'll go look into this and poke the right people. When did you try this?

Hi Florian,

When you click Account Settings option from File menu, that screen is
accessible, but only with Narrator did I manage to read, and navigate
in, the login form after clicking the sign in button. I don't know if
it was fixed in the last version, but this was the case at my time of
install.

Regards,
Yusuf.

Are you saying this screen was completely inaccessible with NVDA?
The latest version?

I will have to test this since that baffles me. To my knowledge a
whole host of things were fixed in the latest version. Dante, are
you watching?
Are those changes in stable yet?

Hi Tim,

Even though it is the community edition, you need to sign in with
your microsoft ID to obtain a fre user licance. Follow the path
File menu / Account Settings. This screen was not accessible with
Jaws and NVDA, so I managed to sign in with Narrator.

Regards,
Yusuf.

Hi,

I downloaded and installed VS2017 Community Edition on my laptop
and
tried
to create a new project from existing code. This repeatedly made
VS2017
become unresponsive, forcing me to close it. Thinking that the
problem might be local to that computer, I installed it again
(using the same
downloaded
installer) on another machine and attempted to run it. It now
tells me
that
my evaluation period has expired. Given that this is the
Community
Edition,
I find this baffling.

Can anybody offer any advice, please?

Best wishes.
