Hi David. When Plans were implemented to make Juce, the framework on
which Surge was built, The devs first aimed it to work with Narrator
since in their thinking, Narrator is the Windows OS native app and will
be the benchmark of their accessibility efforts. Juce wasn't built with
the Win32 toolkit but with OpenGL. The advent of UIA as replacement of
IAccessible has made it possible for OpenGL screens to be made at least
partially accessible, and even Quorum Studio has managed to take
advantage of this advancement. However, Juce Accessibility with the
mainstream screen readers like Jaws and NVDA is progressively being
implemented as of now. Cheers!

Narrator, but not as accessible with NVDA or JAWS.
Explain?

Oh one other thing the amazing thing is it is most accessible with Narrator and
not NVDA and Jaws.

Dr. Aaron is doing his level best to make it accessible to us. Any problems at all,
he wants to hear about it. He's already implemented a fair number of my
suggestions, & I've joined his Patrion just because of that.
There is also a nice book as well as a course on Kadenz on SonicPi; both were
free last time I checked, which was a long time ago. YMMV, as always.

Hi,
I'm unsure of all the tallents of everyone here for programming or
music. I learned that this synthesizer is accessible, but haven't
taken it for a spin yet. I am sharing this, though, in case anyone
wants to know about what an open-source synthesizer looks like from a
coding standpoint, and as a side issue, in case you want to play with
it from a musical perspective.
