Well, I just created a .NET MAUI Blazor app with the latest preview of VS2022 
and .NET 6 and the app with MAUI Blazor doesn’t work.
It was just the application that being created when the template is used.

To be explicit, are you asking if the tooling for creating MAUI Blazor apps 
works with screen readers or if the applications created with MAUI Blazor work 
with screen readers.

The answer to both SHOULD be yes. The MAUI Blazor workflows go through the 
normal accessibility testing which includes testing with screen readers, so I 
don’t know of any issues with it.

As for MAUI Blazor apps, I know that MAUI has been going through it’s own 
testing as a regression pass, and again, I’m not aware of any issues on that 
front.

So, I want to say that both avenues should work. And, I’ll add my usual caveat 
that if anything doesn’t work or could be better, please reach out to me. That 
feedback is important for my team.

Thanks folks. I certainly will send this message thread to the MAUI folks. I 
know several of the PMs in charge of it, and they are passionate about 
accessibility. If anything, interactions like this have really underscored 
their dedication to it.

I don’t know if we have access to any of the prototypes from NVDA or JAWS to 
help with the issue, but if I hear anything, I’ll circle back around and let 
folks know.

You’re correct. Missed that one.
The question is what the revert would mean for existing solutions out in the 
wild? Are the things that needs to be reverted internal only?

I don’t know what you others say but I personally don’t like the webbification 
of UIs instead of using native controls. TEAMS is a good example of how much 
less eficient UIs can be. the Ctrl + 2 shortcut to focus the chat list needs to 
be pressed numerous times in order to work some times is just one example. 
That’s why I use Office and Visual Studio on Windows instead of macOS where you 
can’t jump between windows with keyboard shortcuts the same way you can in 
windows. I feel that the hirarcial navigation of VoiceOver slows me down.

Yeah, but this is Webview2 specific issue not MAUI specific.

We are suggesting to revert the changes in Webview2 component not in Maui.

 From what I understand, fixes are in the works for NVDA and JAWS.
My understanding is that fixes have been prototyped for both NVDA and JAWS, but 
to the best of my knowledge, nothing has been released yet.
