Hi Cearbhall

I haven't started with macros at any point and know nothing.
I write software in java script, java, python and html so far. I'm fairly quick to learn language once I understand the principles.
Thanks for getting back to me and like you I'm a bit tired of click here and enter this over here on you tube videos.
No sight using NVDA on Win 10.
I've used blue-j because I'm old, notepad++ and netbeans/sodbeans and haven't dipped my toes into anything else yet. I was thinking to start with eclipse.
So those are the languages and IDEs.
If you are able to point me at where to start and the tools and any tricks to make life a little easier that would be great.

thanks again

roger

Roger,

Good to hear from you!

There are many good tutorials on the web. I just Google to find solutions that I need in which experts supply answers to questions raised by others. None of these have anything to do with accessibility, of course, that is something we have to field ourselves.

The biggest nuisance that I have found is YouTube. Most people seem to prefer to explain code and methods with a YouTube video in which they frequently use such words as "this""here"and "as you can see"--all of which excludes anyone who cannot see what they are talking about. Another snag which is really maddening is in really useful text-based instructions, not on YouTube, on appropriate code in which the author explains well what to do but then presents a sample code as a graphical image! This prevents us from getting to grips with the exact procedure to follow.

Before I make any further recommendations, could you tell me what you have tried until now? Are you a complete novice? If not, where would you like me to pick up.

All the best,

Cearbhall

    Using Relational Data

    Hi,

If anyone is willing to talk to me privately about this, I don't
want to clog up the list with this, because I think it requires a
conversation. I'm trying to wrap my head around some Excel
functions and what I would like to set up. I want to get help
thinking through how to set up what I want with data and formulas.

    Thanks.

    Jim
