Hex and binary editing does happen a lot in malware research and
exploitation development in the cybersecurity side of things, and I know
very few tools that do it well. In fact, I had not heard of frhed, will
give that a look

Editing binary files is extremely uncommon for me, and VS works well
enough when I do. Usually for viewing I use the *nix hexdump -C in a
regular console, piped through less.

Hi,
Frhed is what I use. It's a little odd but once you get used to it you
can edit things pretty easily with it.
Cheers.

Hey folks,

Out of curiosity, do folks find themselves needing to edit binary files
very often? If so, what tools do you use?
