Ah, you have just stepped foot where no mans hands have ever been. I work for
an agency, and the policy here is not to be the guinea pig for vendors. A prime
example is that I'm using Windows XP, JFW 9 and Eclipse 3.3. It comes down to
two real factors.... Is the product stable and does the new version offer
better features. Eventually in the case of the OS, we are forced to upgrade
because of sun setting but that's the rare situation. We still have VB6 apps
running in prod that work just fine and do not require upgrading aside from
maintenance.

Is there any benifit to using an older version of Eclipse? Jim, may I ask why
you do not upgrade to the most recent version?

Thanks,
David
