...we attempted a similar approach with yet another tool but it was extremely
buggy.

I would recommend recompiling / refactoring with the lower state version.

Subject: [program-java] Using RetroTranslator in a production
environment

G'day all,

Has anyone here had experience using RetroTranslator in an OC4J production
environment? I have a situation where one of our staging environments is
using a 1.4 JVM and I need to build/deploy an application which has been
written against JDK 1.5 (aka 5.0). I was contemplating introducing
RetroTranslator into the mix so the 1.5 specifics would be resolved and thus
handled therefore eliminating the need to refactor the code to meet 1.4
requirements.

Your assistance with this one would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers.
AB
