Hi Jaromir,
The attached patch is intended to return former end-of-program top
behavior. It also fixes an obscure 'Fields Management' buglet.
I've tested it under Fedora-19 (and also with --enable-sigwinch) and
can't find any problems. My mc testing was very superficial yet I
didn't find any problems with the top portion.
If it meets your needs, you have my permission to push it.
