You were hoaxed again! Facebook has always had publishing rights for
anything you post on FB but you do retain the copyright. As folks on this
list know, there is a difference between the two. However, the steps listed
in the message below will prevent your profile pic and possibly some of your
info being used in FB ads.

Here is the Intellectual Property text:
http://www.facebook.com/help/?faq=12008
Do I retain the copyright and other legal rights to material I upload to
Facebook?
Yes, you retain the copyright to your content. When you upload your content,
you grant us a license to use and display that content. For more information
please visit our Statement of Rights and Responsibilities, which contain
information about intellectual property, as well as your privileges and
responsibilities as a Facebook user.

Two ways to spot hoaxes like this: First: Which Friday? ie, written to be
able to work whenever a person receives the hoax and then passes it on.
Second: When something is written to strike fear and tell you to pass on
the fear be suspicious and Google it with the word Hoax in it too.

However, I hear this one may be real:
WARNING!! As of tomorrow, Facebook will creep into your bathroom when you're
in the shower, pat your butt, and pinch you in uncomfortable places. To
change this option, go to Privacy Settings > Personal Settings > Bathroom
Settings > Patting & Pinching Settings, and uncheck the Shenanigans box.
Facebook kept this one quiet. Copy & paste on your status to alert the
unaware, unless you like this sort of thing

Cheers,
Viv Ilo
