Same, sorry I was late to it. For some reason I thought it was at 7 (maybe
previous ones had been?) and that I’d missed it because we were having a bit of
a mother’s day dinner together at my place. Thanks, Rach, for texting me to
jump on. Thanks, Mike, for muting me when I became unruly!
Good news: Jean Harley set to be a 6-part tv series! But will only tell you lot ;
because I want to tell someone, but please don’t tell anyone else – it’s not
supposed to be a secret or anything but you know how these things often fall
through and I don’t want to embarrass myself. Too much of that going on right
now. I needed this news, what with my mom’s novel finding no love and now 2 out
of 4 rejections for The Guggenheim as of Friday. Been having those ‘am I good
enough’ conversations with myself a lot lately, little pitiful tears and such.
At least now I can tell myself that if I’ve peaked with Jean Harley (please say
I haven’t peaked), it’s a decent peak.
Missing you all. Yesterday we delivered pumpkins from our garden to Dash’s
various family members but it almost felt too sad not being able to hug anyone
or even cross the room to touch an arm. Especially the little 2 year old and
the favourite 80 year old. I hope when we finally get to see each other it
won’t be that way. Maybe it’s because it was our first visit with anyone and it
drove it home?
