I thought about that, but the inbox file is an insane 65mb and it may take Metapad about a month to open that. LOL. (Larry & Peter), if Tbird can be installed without messing up OE, then I may try that. Thanks. I need to search for a specific string in the headers to see how many emails have it. -Clint Happy New Year to all and God Bless Clint Hamilton, Owner http://www.OrpheusComputing.com http://www.ComputersCustomBuilt.com ----- Original Message ----- From: "Peter Kaulback" In Thunderbird you can search tags in the headers, what are you searching for? Or you could open your inbox file in a plain text editor and search the source, I've had to do this a couple times years back when I was a Notes admin and it was a pain even though all the email stores were dumped into a database to supposedly make such a thing easier(?). You might also try a basic html editor like Arachnophilia to view the file and search through it that way.
