I knew they were legit, what I was asking is anyone *else* getting them. I'm wondering if it's just my accounts that are being attacked, or is it a system-wide attack on many or most Gmail accounts. -Clint God Bless, Clint Hamilton, Owner www.OrpheusComputing.com www.ComputersCustomBuilt.com www.OrpheusComputing.com/most_reliable_cheapest_webhosting.html www.OrpheusComputing.com/office/computer_accessories.html ----- Original Message ----- From: "Ben Moore" Google does send out emails like that. Recently I was testing a VPN set up and changed in a few seconds from my home IP address to an IP address in Washington, DC . Google blocked my access to all my Gmail addresses from that strange IP. When I turned off the VPN I had emails from Google saying that I had had a strange attempt to access my account. I usually use Outlook to retrieve Gmail. When I went on line to Gmail I had banner messages on the Gmail website notifying me of the same thing. So Google does send out messages like this. Whether yours was legitimate or not, I don't know. I really didn't examine the emails that closely.
