Hi Pam  :)   I am using a program that removes the 'boxes'
from the desktop icons, and you also get a choice of black,
white or match the font color to your desktop - pretty
cool !  It's an old program, so may not like Win2k; says it's
for 9x and NT.. but maybe you'd like to try? (It's free :)

Read the documentation page, too. I never do, but this one
