I have been thru 3 notes with links and still don't know where the patch is..???...I HATE that when a site offers info but you have to go round in circles instead just Patch and then download. I never can figure that all out..I get lost. ml ----- Original Message ----- From: <HandsomeBlck@xxxxxxx> To: <pctechtalk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Thursday, March 08, 2007 4:40 AM Subject: -=PCTechTalk=- Re: time patch In a message dated 3/7/2007 5:07:17 PM Pacific Standard Time, poppy0206@xxxxxxxxxxxxx writes: > will my windows ask me to update this or download it automatically, I am > set > for atuo updates but I dont want IE7 yet which it keeps pushing, > > thanks, > > Christine Christine, This became a question for me when the time change rules (law?) were changed. This is what I think happens; Windows will update the time only when a patch tells it to. So, if you don't install the patch, the time change will occur under the old rules. I installed the patch when it became available. Also, I agree with you about IE7. I'm not installing it until I have to.
