Yes,My HP had the head and cartridge integrated. I refilled it
once, but advice was that the head would not last indefinitely.
Before that refill was used up, the printer failed for a different
reason. I attempted a repair, but they are designed for that never
to happen IMHO

One other thing I've since heard, is
