I first purchased an Epson refill kit from a
"specialist" about 1.5 years ago. This was before the
kits started appearing just about everywhere. The
owner was quite knowledgable, as he had been doing
this for a number of years, and he stated that the HP
cartridges were NOT refillable, for reasons he had yet
to determine. One other thing I've since heard, is
that HP cartridges include a print head on each
cartridge. Perhaps somebody else can corroborate
these facts.
