Hi Paula, I started typing out specific directions for you to set up and area on your hard drive to store driver files and then on how to select the different drivers you need, but I ran into a bit of a snag (and then I found a much easier method you can use). I went through all of the motions to make sure you wouldn't have any problems, but I ran into one myself. It seems the Gateway site is having problems serving up any files. Instead of starting the download I selected, it just sent me back to the main page where I started. There is a glitch somewhere that makes it impossible to get files right now and it doesn't matter whether I use Firefox or Internet Explorer in the attempt. the good news is that they have their own Gateway Update link that appears to work similarly to Windows Update. If that's true, their own server can determine exactly what driver files you need and update your system automatically. I'm not running a Gateway system, so I have no way to test it. If you want to give it a go yourself, here's the link they provide. Let us know if it seems to work as advertised. If it doesn't work, we'll have to wait until they fix their server and do it the way I had originally planned. http://tinyurl.com/v1zb Actually, theirs is much longer, so I shortened it a bit. :O) Peace, G Our food supply is tainted http://tinyurl.com/2j5ogt "The only dumb questions are the ones we fail to ask!" ----- Original Message ----- From: "Paula" <biggmamma5@xxxxxxx> To: <pctechtalk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Sunday, April 13, 2008 4:11 PM Subject: -=PCTechTalk=- Re: pctechtalk Digest V6 #104 > Hi GMan, My OS is WinXP Media Ctr.
