Like I said... I never actually encountered it myself where it would ask
about adding the BHO. But, if it installed it without asking me, I wouldn't
know, as I never checked up on it. On the other hand, if somehow you got
yourself a corrupt or spyware-infected copy, I guess that could likewise be
a possibility. But, I think you probably downloaded it from the official
site.

But, yes... some BHOs are innocent. All they are are Browser Helper Objects,
and programs use them to basically have the browser interact with the
software. The Acrobat program (actually, it might not be the read, it may be
the full Acrobat version) I think uses it so you can convert an HTML file
from the web to a PDF file. Puts a button on your browser, you click it, and
it converts the web page into an HTML file.

I would think if it was "normal" for spybot to add that, then others on here

would have seen it come up. I always read those BHO's were bad, so avoided
adding them but I guess some are good. When I did not add it, it froze up
everything with an error (x). For now I just decided not to install the
program on my uncles' computer even though it is working fine on mine. He
just had his computer totally cleaned out by a shop to start from scratch, I

am being very careful in putting programs on there now.
