Disregard my message. I sort of read your post backwards. I thought you were saying you had selected too high a resolution, when in fact you had selected too low. My mistake. The other suggestions are what you need. On another note (might work), you can right-click on the task bar below, for the open settings, and select MOVE. Then you can use your cursor keys to move the window about. ---Troth ----- Original Message ----- From: Hank To: pctechtalk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Wednesday, June 18, 2003 3:24 PM Subject: -=PCTechTalk=- Re: change resolution Thoth Just for fun I went safe mode, I got 480x640 with 16 color and couldn't change anything. Rebooted and was back to the 600x800 with true color. I still think the only way for him to go is with the keyboard. When I went to safe mode the res. was to large to fit the screen. Hitting the tab key once, then twice then keep trying it will get you back to where you want "the enter key each time of course" Last night I was trying to rid myself of a spy program by regedit, Well it didn't work but I did get to mess up my screen color so bad I couldn't read anything, The only thing that saved me was I had saved the reg first and the keyboard know whet I wanted when I did some typing. Got it back. To start in SAFE MODE, restart the computer, and while the computer is booting up, keep pressing F8 until you get the boot menu... then you select SAFE MODE. ---Troth ----- Original Message ----- From: Terry To: pctechtalk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Wednesday, June 18, 2003 5:03 AM Subject: -=PCTechTalk=- change resolution Hi, I'm in Germany on someone else's computer, changed the screen resolution, Windows XP Dell Inspiron 8100 laptop.
