Have you tried to see if the files can be zipped? It just might be possible
to put one file per disk. I checked my floppies and they hold 1.43888M (Not
1.44 like it says on the box). You might be able to Zip from 1,676Kb to <
1,4388Kb.

There is another way. If you have a CD -R or have a friend who has one, let
him/her copy your files to a CD-R. Just put the CD-R into your laptop and
read from that. This may turn out to be your easiest method.

But, if you have a PC +and+ a laptop, there may be an easier way. Are you
familiar with PC to Laptop software? It does not even require a network
card on both machines, the one I use connects vie the parallel printer
port. Drawback: Kinda expensive, and if this is a one time thing, I would
let this be my fallback plan. As of a week ago, Staples & Office Depot both
sell this.

Another way, if you have a PC and a laptop with a network card in both
machines, you can network them, copy the files you want to the PC first to
"C:\laptop" and then from the laptop, access the PC's hard drive and copy
the files over. Drawback: Not +hard+ to do, but you do need to be
comfortable with setting up networks, especially if PC operating system is
different from the laptop operating system.

The last two I listed are the methods I use 99.9 percent of the time.

I have networked a laptop to a PC, map the CD drive on the PC, and then use
the PC's CD to install files to the laptop. This is the method I use now,
and I think it is the easiest.
