That little brush should only need 1 or 2 minutes max.  I had one once and 
it said do not use for more than just a VERY short time... don't remember 
just how long though.

Washing will fix fingerprints and spilled orange juice, but it will not help 
dust/dirt in the player... so sometimes it will help.  Sometimes it won't.
