That depends. If both the modem and your computer have RJ45 sockets, all you will need is a wireless router. If your computer is missing the RJ45 socket you will need a network adapter card for your computer also. If the modem is missing the RJ45 socket you will need to replace the modem with one that has one. Note: Some DSL modems have a built in wireless router. That is what Verizon wants you to get from them with the upgraded service. AT&T is finally bring FiOS to our area. Lordy mercy! The prices are ridiculous just to gain some features I can do without. My cost to get similar service with FiOS would be 50 to 100 bucks a month more than I pay now. Of course the extra bucks gets me features I do not need or want, but they can't be left out of the package to make it cheaper. Sorta like having to buy a car with air conditioning, premium audio, leather seats and upgraded wheel covers to get the automatic transmission.
