If it is an SSL error go to Tools>Accounts>Mail tab. Select the account with the problem and click on Properties>Advanced. For the SMTP Server tick the box beside "This server requires a secure connection". Ditto for the POP3 server if the problem is there also. 2. If it is a Password authentification problem, Go to Tools>Accounts>Mail tab. Click Properties>Server tab. Just beneath the Password entry feild tick the box beside "Log on using Secure Password Authentification". 3. The most likely culprit is just below that. Look for "Outgoing Mail Server" and tick the box beside "My server requires authentification". Then click the settings button and tick the box beside "Use same settings as my incoming mail server". I think #2 is the least likely. I suspect you may need both #1 and #3 to be ticked. But try various combinations. Call your ISP and ask for those settings as they may vary from one email server to another. I hope one of these fixes it.
