When I went to buy a laptop I went into Best Buy and ran Vistas' System Performace Rating on every laptop I was interested in. I noticed that all the ones that had a low Video rating couldn't even run their demo animations smoothly. I wound up getting $400 Acer that had less memory (2 GB) and HD space (160 GB), but video worked very good (3.? Rating) and it has a decent size LCD display. At least the memory and HD are easy to upgrade if I need to, but video is harder to upgrade.
