    There are lots of free burning solutions available for XP, but I have no 
idea how well any of them work.  Below is a Google search that lists a bunch 
of them, plus some info on getting more out of your burning sessions. 
Download one, scan it for malware and then test it out to see if it'll 
fulfill your needs.  If not, uninstall it and move onto the next.  I suspect 
you'll come across one you like rather quickly, though.         :O)

    If you continue to have the same problems with any of these, you might 
want to uninstall your drive in Device Manager and then reboot so Windows 
can reload fresh drivers for it.
