I used to use Mailwasher Pro, but took it off this computer some time
ago. I admit I get things mixed up sometimes as I test many, many
programs. I just recently went through 6-8 SPAM/Mail notification
programs so all seem to "blend" together. My memory is, though, that
Mailwasher Pro alows you a button to open your mail program. Most of
these programs do NOT automatically open your mail program after
reviewing mail because you may disagree with the finding or results of
the filtering system. There are a few that do automatically open your
e-mail program.....but most seem to be programs that do not delete
mail, simply add something in the subject that says "possible SPAM" so
that when your e-mail program downloads you can filter the specific
e-mails to a folder for review. To me, this is a poor way to manage
SPAM. Why introduce another lever of program to filter what you can
just as easily fiolter in your e-mail program.

   | | Once you start using filters and hiding the filtered
   | | results, popping that spam is quite easy, and the nice
   | | thing is that the bounce feature works with charter
   | | broadband mail servers. This is something that didn't work
   | | with Earthlink and Mindspring mail servers (at least on
   | | dialup). This is one reason I would never buy the program.
   | |
   | | I will admit that we still use SpamBayes, which is
   | | regulated to sorting those pesky forwarded emails and legit
   | | emails from friends and family, who won't listen when I ask
   | | them to stop sending this stuff.
   | |
   | | The one thing I wish I could do would be to get MailWasher
   | | to start automatically (I know this can be done), process
   | | the email, and then start my Outlook automatically to
   | | download. I'm messing with an external program to do this,
   | | but it's taking time.
