that is how I get to the DOS but when I get there I have to type a command in after the C prompt and when I type in defrag, it tells me I have to have Windows :-( I am going to try the way Terry suggested but I will have to move really fast <gr> as for some reason this computer in comparison to my first one speeds past that black page. So if I blink it will be gone - thx again both of you for your help. I have an appointment today but when I get back I want to really study that page on startup programs, etc. as looked quite interesting - Dolores (who says grandmas can't learn new things!) ----- Original Message ----- From: <Foxhillers@xxxxxxx> To: <pctechtalk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Monday, December 08, 2003 8:52 AM Subject: -=PCTechTalk=- Re: Help on defrag and what's needed in msconfig In a message dated 12/8/03 8:39:02 AM Eastern Standard Time, inquisitive@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx writes: > sorry as had gone to bed shortly after sending my request - I didn't have a > screen saver on as thought about that also so have no idea what was running > in the background.
