Are you using the Start Menu or the Classic Start Menu option? Does the Start Menu display both MY DOCUMENTS and MY RECENT DOCUMENTS? If yes, which list are you wanting to clear. Both can be set to be NOT DISPLAYED if you don't ever want to see the list.
