This is the biggest clue...Too fast for a CD-RW-12x speed is the absolute
maximim for that drive-you will be ok writing to a CD-r at that speed,
though. If it's something you are wanting to keep (i.e. never overwrite) use
CD-r's instead - You can burn up to 40 speed with that model.
