Hi
Folks I do not mean to cast stones at Mihir.

I just want to remind people this is one reason you get an UPS (Universal
Power Supply) for your puter. Having one hooked up to your system will give
you time to safely shut everything down.

I hope the suggestion to uninstall and reinstall the drivers and/or software
works.

It is possible that some permanent damage could have resulted to the
external drive and/or puter from the power interrupt.
Life is what happens in between plans.
