ReNa, anything that WP saves it can also open regardless of how it saves
it. If you just do a save it always saves it in WP format. You can also save
in .DOC format .rtf format etc. and it still opens it. I have Perfect Office
6.0 and it will not however open a DOC file created my more recent versions
of MSWORD. If it was saved with WP something else happened to cause it to
open up in gibberish.

Good advice is like good paint- it only works if applied.
