I'm assuming you mean the green light that that is on the back of the 
computer on the power supply.
That normally means the power supply is going out. Open her up and 
install a known good power supply to check it out
cause once in a great moon it is the motherboard.

Rule of thumb is that when a power supply does go out it likes to take 
company with it. So get it changed out  (If that is the problem)
before it goes.
