Trying to make sense out of this, but here is my two cents:
#1.    Many laptops are coming with USB memory cards i.e. SD or XD or the
like instead of a floppy.  That way you can get them in differing memory
sizes, similar to memory cards for cameras.

#2.   This does indeed say a DVD burner and CD burner.  As I use an older
DVD burner I would recommend it IF you have a lot of files or pictures to
burn.  (It takes 3 DVDs to burn my photos).  I always worry about to many
combo's though, so just make sure you get an extended waranty.
