Good afternoon Star Tour Members,
I've been conversing via Email with Tamma, our contact for the Wickenburg
event on Mar 10, 2018.
She has changed her mind and is going with Mike and his meteorites, and one
paid scope. I decided I would like to be the paid scope and i will take
Storm with me to run the scope and entertain the people (we make a good
team) and split my income with Storm.
Tamma also wants up to 5 volunteer telescopes.
What does the telescope team get?
Super dark sky location
a fantastic dinner. Tamma says the meals are awesome.
and i think that is it at this time.
She decided NOT to include over night accommodations because the cost is
higher than she wants to pay, for Mike and me to attend at $260 each plus
$25 to PAS for insurance.
So, no overnight accommodations but free food and super dark location.
I just updated the Calendar listing for this event. If you would like to
attend, be fed, and enjoy a super dark sky viewing session with a small
group of people at a dude ranch, go sign up as a volunteer for this event.
I will ask Tamma if it is ok to put out a tip jar and the volunteers can
all take the tips that are gathered.
Would love to have you attend with us.
I also would like to make sure i have at least ONE Back up scope availble
that night, just in case I need to cancel for any reason. At the moment, i
do not show any back up scopes, but i do show 3 scopes who wanted to attend
when pay was being offered. So, if those three scopes would change their
RSVP on this event to reflect their new RSVP, that would be awesome. It
helps me a lot to have your updated RSVP listed. I copied the current list
of RSVP's to the forum thread for my reference.

Dress code is currently ALL BLACK for this event.
If that is a prob, don't sign up to help out, even as a volunteer. I am
asking if we need to be in all black or can we do black shorts, and an
astronomy Tshirt? I don't have that approved yet, so i will let you know in
the Calendar or Forum thread, if it is approved. Be sure to check it before
attending.
