Good afternoon Bookmans Sidewalk Team,
For those planning to attend tomorrow night's event,
please *bring your own chairs, drinks, snacks*. It will be hot and muggy,
so plan to have plenty to keep you hydrated.
Sam and I are monitoring the weather. We may have clouds, hopefully thin
clouds, if we have clouds. I'm hoping for no clouds as I invited a ton of
people to this event.
But, should we have clouds, you might want to bring a chair for between
viewing.
If we bring our own chairs and tables, and other things, and not borrow
from Bookmans, we can stay set up till 10pm. Otherwise, about 9;45pm
Bookmams starts asking for their tables and chairs back. So, I would like
to stay to 10pm, weather permitting.
If anyone has to leave early, just drop me a text to let me know and then
feel free to take off. I don't know that we are being treated to a gift
card or not, as the new Bookmans event coordinator isn't all that giving,
compared to how Katy was, especially when we roast in the heat and she
isn't even there to check on us or thank us. It might be that she hasn't
gotten into the routine of PAS yet. It did take Katy a while to warm up to
us being at Bookmans.
The Telescope workshops and the Sidewalk events are PAS events.
When we do other events that Bookmans asks us to do, that's when we get
rewarded with a gift card. I just wanted to clarify that if any of you are
thinking you might get some reward this time. I wouldn't' count on it,
however, those of you in the Star Tours team get points for attending. So,
you do get something.
Make sure I know you are there, so i can award the points accordingly.
Check in with me, or before you leave, make sure i acknowledge you.
Everyone have a spectacular weekend. It looks like it might be cloudy and a
bit rainy, but let's hope Saturday night and Sunday for the telescope
workshop are clear enough to do those two evnets. It is still monsoon
season which means any event, at any moment, can be canceled due to
weather.
