Leah, the additional data point had no changes. Scottsbluff NE , Casper Wy,
Madras Or, were still the top 3 each having clear skies Aug 21, 2016. Grand
Island, Ne was also clear and is still in 4th place. Nashville, Tennessee
still had clouds for the 12th straight year and still is in last place. We also
discussed how hotels are hard to find near the center line. I am flying to
Denver, staying a few days, then renting a car and driving 3 hrs to a town just
South of Scottsbluff. Then driving to the centerline before the eclipse or
driving west to Casper or East to Grand Island along major highways if the
weather forces the use of escape routes.Take care, Sam

I wasn't able to be at the Sept PAS meeting, and the October
newsletter didn't have anything about the eclipse. only that Sam
and Alex talked about their research, but nothing about the
results! are the conclusions the same as were presented in July?
is there any change with the addition of an additional data
point?

Good
morning everyone,
Looking
forward to tonight's party at Mike's.
Mike
is ready for us to arrive, 5pm-ish.
I
have a card for eveyrone to sign for William's
birthday.
About
6:30 we will share ice cream, brought by Sam, Thank
you Sam, and sing Happy Birthday to William.
Would
love to have you participate in the birthday party.
This
will be an awesome night. The weather looks promising,
and It will just be a nice, relaxing event.
7pm
we have Alex doing 2 things. If you haven't read up on
what is in store, then do so.
We
have plenty of parking room up at Mike's house, as of
now. There will be 3 scopes attending, and please,
they are the only vehicles at the back of the house,
by the observing area. Everyone else park out front.
Right now, i do not predict needing to put cars in the
wash.
Remember
to bring food to share. We could use more main dishes,
and some side dishes, and bring Popsicles for eating
during the fireworks.
Everyone
have a spectacular weekend and a wonderful 4th of
July.
