Steve, that sounds YUM!!!
Oh man, been awhile since I had mojitos!!!
I love those things, they are WAY too easy to drink too many of…
Many years back when Stacey and I did one of our trips to Key West, FL…we
landed one afternoon at the Higs Breath saloon there, sat on the patio
listening to various folks play guitar, etc on the deck.
Our mojito bill , I think , was only just under like $200.
Yes, we had quite a few.
Thank God for cheap and plentiful taxis…haha

Howdy.
I am awake, and it is 4:10am in Oz.
I am cooking nothing at the moment, but Jen did cook a big batch of lasagne
I’ve had at work tonight with a Santorini style Greek salad. I made it like
we had in Santorini with a nice slab of Feta and Oregano powdered and
sprinkled on top. I used some of my in season Meyer lemons for the dressing.
Also on my fruit salad citrus tree are grapefruit sized Washington oranges –
super sweet and juicy, that was my dessert.
We did have some Mojitos a few days ago muddling Tahitian limes from same
said tree.
Still dreaming of a sticky meat braise I will do this week when I’ve finished
my shifts…and of course, my weekly sourdough.
Will also make some Lemon Curd too as plenty of delicious lemons to use.
Cheers
Steve

WAKE UP!!
Haha…juat wanting to say hello, and see how everyone was doing!!
What are you up to this weekend?
Cooking anything?
It’s 11:10am Saturday morning here and already a brisk 84F with muggy all
about.
We have an area of slight interest in the gulf already…nothing likely to
worry about, but we watch everything there with interest.
*sigh* this is gonna be a long summer…
Anyway, not sure what I’m doing today. I’m trying to motivate myself to
clean the hovel of a house some.
I’m thinking of hitting the grocery store too and see what looks fresh. I’m
thinking some sort of marinated veggie salad. Cauliflower is cheap in the
store ads, I might do my faux cauli mashed taters with cream cheese and sour
cream.
I’ve got a ton of meats in the freezer, I might play “mystery meat” and close
my eyes and just figure out something to cook out of whatever I grab…likey on
the grill.
Oh, and I finally got a haircut appointment a week from today, I think I need
one. I’m doing a cross between Howard Hughes and a mid 70’s Spielberg right
about now…

Catch me up on your part of the world…
