$10 is a good price for a cooked meal in Oz, if I can recall the cost of
cooked food in Aus in the days when we could travel there!
Did they provide you with lots of banchan (side dishes) other than kimchi?
In most Korean restaurants here, we get 4 to 7 little dishes completely
free of
charge and I know I could just eat the banchan and rice and be completely
happy.
My usual is to order a bowl of kimchi jjigae (stew/soup with loads of
kimchi, mushrooms
and some pork) which comes with a bowl of short grained Koran rice, and I
will have
that with all the banchan at the side.

Thrre was also sliced shitake mushrooms, julienne carrot and zucchini, an
egg rice soaked through with juices and sauce. Kimchi, candied sweet potato
and picled radish served as side dishes.
A big bowl of food for an awesome $10 lunch a an authentic Korean
restaurant.
